“As McKinley Foundation history has shown, to become an inclusive community of faith takes embracing a social justice orientation. Such an orientation will drive members to learn about injustice in their communities; it necessitates their thinking intersectionally to analyze their own social and spatial locations and to unveil the ways each contributes to marginalization of difference and even oppression. This orientation encourages the hard conversations and difficult processes to break down privilege and eliminate marginalization. It is our hope that this film series will help us to confront racism head on by opening up this critically important dialogue.”
