How Dare You? Combating Climate Change Through Photography
How Dare You? is an exhibition of photographs that were received as part of a community-wide competition inspired by Greta Thunberg and her remarks to the United Nations (“How dare you?”). The pieces, selected by members of Artists’ Alley and the McKinley Green Team, inspired the artists and hopefully the viewers to combat climate change.
First, second, and third place were awarded in each of four categories: People, Places, Nature, and Abract/Altered Images. Several photos were designated with an Honorable Mention citation. Best in Show was awarded to James McEnerney and his photograph “Roof Melting.”

“In Iceland about 11 billion tons of glacial ice melt due to global warming every year. This image is from inside an ice cave formed by the melting Myrdalsjokull glacier in Iceland,” wrote McEnerney about the winning image.
