- Movies are returning to McKinley! With the installation of a theater system in the McKinley Living Room, we are looking for film buffs who would like to help plan the film series for the year. Volunteers will meet to discuss themes, movie selections, and schedule. They will also be asked to take turns hosting the film events.
- Artists’ Alley! With two exhibits under our belt, we are seeking volunteers to assist with in the promotion and selection of artists and exhibits to be displayed in our new art space. Other duties may include planning exhibit opening receptions and assistance with installations. No formal art background is necessary.

Yohei Endo, who currently serves as the McKinley Memorial Presbyterian Church music director, was called to music ministry through his love of the organ. “I started feeling very comfortable in church. And when I served as a music minister, I felt my heart and mind open.” Since that time, Endo has moved from Japan to the U.S. to study church and organ music. He is currently pursuing his PhD in organ performance at the University of Illinois.
The Wert Scholars Fund is named for the late Charles A. Wert, a member and elder of the McKinley Presbyterian Church, and a professor of Materials Science and Engineering at the University of Illinois. The Wert Scholars Fund is administered by The McKinley Foundation at the University of Illinois. Applications are accepted annually during the spring semester.
