McKinley Memorial Presbyterian Church and Student Foundation are looking for a responsible Custodian to keep our property clean and to assist with setting up our conference rooms for large presentations and business meetings. The Custodian is responsible for keeping a running inventory of all cleaning supplies and submitting purchasing requests when supplies get low. The successful candidate will be required to respond to repair calls for such activities as replacing a broken light, cleaning up a non-toxic spill and removing damaged office furniture. McKinley is an EOE.
The Wert Scholars Fund is named for the late Charles A. Wert, a member and elder of the McKinley Presbyterian Church, and a professor of Materials Science and Engineering at the University of Illinois.
The Wert Scholars Fund benefits a student studying for the Christian ministry, and may also be used for those that are studying for lay minister positions. Precedence is given to students who are members or regular attendees of McKinley Presbyterian Church in Champaign, or have some association with the church, or who have a record of participation in McKinley Foundation student ministry activities.
If no suitable candidate is found in from McKinley, precedence is given to students that are members or are associated with a Presbyterian church in the greater Champaign-Urbana community.
If no suitable candidate is found in the greater Champaign-Urbana community, precedence is given to students that are either members or associated with a Presbyterian Church in the Presbytery of Southeastern Illinois.
The Wert Scholars Fund is generally an award of about $2,000.
