CHRISTMAS THROUGH THEIR EYES

AN EXHIBITION OF DRAWINGS, WATER COLOR AND MIXED MEDIA BY THE CHILDREN OF MCKINLEY MEMORIAL PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH

20171130134538880_0001Experiencing Christmas through the eyes of a child reminds us of the excitement, the faith, and the wonder of the season.  At McKinley Memorial Presbyterian Church, we have many treasured Advent and Christmas traditions from lighting the Advent wreath and candles to singing Christmas carols, and placing gifts under the Christmas tree for those in need. And, of course, the children’s Christmas pageant puts us all in the holiday spirit.

This year, to celebrate the season, a new tradition was introduced. The children of McKinley, ranging in age from kindergarten to 6th grade, spent several weeks during Sunday school creating this exhibit of original work representing Advent, Christmas, and the nativity story.
