Call for Nominations: Extended to March 8

SJA_Logo_Vertical_x2The McKinley Foundation is seeking nominations for its annual social justice awards, which will be presented at a virtual gala on Thursday, April 29, from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Nominations are due March 8!

Nominations are sought for four award categories of individuals and groups making a difference through justice work locally, nationally, or internationally — a high school or college student, a high school or college student group, a community individual, and a community organization.

Each of the four awards includes a $500 gift to benefit the winning organizations and two organizations chosen by the student and community individual award winners.

Nomination Process

  1. Complete the Social Justice Award Nomination Form.
  2. Submit an essay describing how the person or organization you are nominating has met the criteria for the award. We encourage you to identify the nominee’s goals and activities and to explain how these activities have affected others. Self-nominations are welcome.
  3. Send the Social Justice Awards Nomination Form and your essay to the Social Justice Awards Committee at or mail the two documents to the following address by March 8:
