McKinley Foundation Awards Social Justice Honors

Feeding the hungry, offering second chances while healing communities, and furthering interfaith understanding—these are just a few examples of the amazing work being done in our community that will be honored at the 2019 McKinley Foundation Social Justice Awards Gala.

Now in its 10th year, the awards celebrate students and community members who have demonstrated contributions and achievement in making our world a more just and better place, leveling the playing field and supporting marginalized people. Each award carries a $500 prize.

The award winners—Omar Kashow, Johnell Bentz, Feeding Our Kids and First Followers—will be honored at the 10th Annual Social Justice Awards Gala on Saturday, March 30, at the McKinley Foundation. 2018 MacArthur “Genius” recipient and University of Illinois Associate Professor of Sociology and Law, Dr. Rebecca L. Sandefur, PhD, will serve as keynote speaker.

Individual tickets are $60; a table for eight is $450. Purchase your tickets today!
