CU Fresh Start: A Response to Gun Violence In Our Community
On Thursday, September 14, the McKinley Foundation will host a forum for community members to learn more about the CU Fresh Start Program, a new approach to reducing gun violence. Developed by the Champaign Community Coalition, the CU Fresh Start Program focuses on offenders with a history of violent, gun-related behaviors. A panel discussion will feature Anthony Cobb, Champaign Police Chief; Vivian Gray, Project Specialist for CU Fresh Start; and Donte Lotts, Community Liaison for CU Fresh Start. The panel discussion will be followed by a Q&A session.
